Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra found dead on yacht amid harassment claims

Irish-born swimwear designer and East x East co-founder Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra was found dead on the yacht ‘The Ripple’, owned by financier Chris Durnan, in Montauk.

Text messages reveal that days before her death, Nolan-O’Slatarra told her business partner, Dylan Grace, that she was being ‘harassed’ by Durnan. Durnan, who invested $250,000 for a 13 percent stake in the company in 2022, had sent aggressive messages accusing Nolan-O’Slatarra and Grace of financial misconduct and fraud.

On August 4, 2025, Nolan-O’Slatarra met Durnan at the Montauk Yacht Club for a business discussion. After a sunset cruise on the vessel ‘Hell in a Bucket’, the pair reportedly transferred to Durnan’s other boat, ‘The Ripple’. Suffolk County authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
