Martim Ventura secures second place at Rally dos Sertões

Portuguese rider Martim Ventura secured second place overall and a victory in the MT2 category during his debut at the 2026 Rally dos Sertões. Competing for the Monster Energy Honda HRC team on a Honda CRF450RX, Ventura demonstrated significant sportsmanship during the final stage.

After his teammate, Bruno Crivilin, collided with a tree while attempting to avoid a cow, Ventura chose to tow Crivilin to the finish line rather than pursuing his own individual victory. This gesture allowed Crivilin to claim the overall win and secured a double victory for the Honda team. Ventura stated that his primary focus from the start of the rally was to ensure a Honda victory.
