Martin and Roman Kemp launch Irish road‑trip series on Channel 4

Father‑son duo Martin Kemp, former Spandau Ballet bassist, and his son Roman Kemp, presenter of BBC’s The One Show, are fronting a new three‑part travelogue titled “Martin and Roman’s Irish Road Trip” for Channel 4. The series, co‑produced with Tourism Ireland and Rock Oyster Media, follows the pair as they explore highlights across the island – from Cork’s Spike Island and the neolithic Four Knocks passage tomb to Meath, Dublin and the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland, including the Derry Halloween festival.

In interviews they spoke about using the trip to spend quality time together and discuss mental‑health topics, noting that the road‑trip offers a rare chance for one‑on‑one bonding away from work commitments. The programme is scheduled to air from 10 August at 8 pm on Channel 4.
