Martin Boyle leads Hibernian to Scottish League Cup final

Veteran Australian international Martin Boyle scored the equalising goal in Hibernian’s 2-1 semi-final victory over rivals Hearts, securing the club a place in the Scottish League Cup final.

The match, held at Hampden Park, saw Claudio Braga score early for Hearts before Boyle equalised in the 19th minute. Jamie McGrath subsequently scored the winning goal for Hibs shortly before halftime. The victory provides a significant boost for Hibernian, who are currently struggling at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership and have undergone managerial changes this season.

Boyle, who has played over 400 matches for the club, is in his testimonial year and is expected to depart at the end of the season. Hibernian will face Rangers in the final on December 13.
