Martin Compston discusses ‘brutal’ Line of Duty season 7

Actor Martin Compston has described the filming of the upcoming seventh season of the BBC crime drama ‘Line of Duty’ as a ‘brutal’ and ‘hardest’ experience for the cast. Speaking on ‘The One Show’ and ‘This Morning’, Compston noted that the production was particularly demanding due to the ambitious nature of the scripts, which feature an increased number of interview scenes and significant action.

Compston indicated that while he cannot confirm if the series will end permanently, the seventh season likely represents the conclusion of the primary story arc that has been developing since the first series. He described the upcoming episodes as ‘explosive’ and stated that ‘everything is coming to a head.’

Returning cast members include Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar. The new season is expected to air on the BBC, following a hiatus since the sixth series.
