Martin Ødegaard open to potential Bayern Munich move

Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard has expressed openness to a future move to Bayern Munich, according to reports from Sky Germany. While the 27-year-old Norwegian midfielder is currently under contract with the London club until June 2028, reports suggest there has been ongoing contact between his representatives and the Bundesliga side over the past few years.

Arsenal management is reportedly prioritizing a contract extension to secure Ødegaard long-term and avoid a situation where he enters the final year of his deal. The club aims to prevent a potential departure without a transfer fee in 2027. If a new agreement is not reached, Arsenal may consider selling the midfielder during the next summer transfer window.

Despite the interest, no concrete transfer negotiations are currently underway between Arsenal and Bayern Munich. Ødegaard remains a central figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad, having recently captained the team to a Premier League title and a Champions League final appearance.
