Martin Erat acquitted in Tennessee legal case

Martin Erat, a coach for the ice hockey club Kometa Brno, has been acquitted in a legal case in the United States. The verdict follows a series of incidents in Tennessee involving a blue Tesla.

In February 2025, Erat was involved in a series of driving incidents in Nolensville and Brentwood, Tennessee, which included hitting a vehicle and a mailbox. He initially faced multiple charges, including driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. However, most charges were dropped, and he was ultimately found not guilty of reckless endangerment without a weapon, receiving only a fine.

Erat, a former Nashville Predators player, has been balancing his coaching duties in Brno with personal obligations in the US. Kometa Brno coach Libor Zábranský noted that Erat's recent absence from training was due to these commitments.
