Martin Guitars releases two new Joe Bonamassa signature models

Martin Guitars has released two new signature acoustic guitar models in collaboration with blues-rock musician Joe Bonamassa: the OO-18 and the OO-10E Retro. Both models are inspired by Bonamassa’s vintage 1937 Martin OO-18, featuring a “1937 Joe Bonamassa Sunburst” finish designed to replicate the aged appearance of his original instrument.

The premium OO-18 is manufactured in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. It features a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, and Golden Era scalloped spruce-X bracing. The OO-10E Retro is a more accessible model from the Road Series, produced in Mexico. This model utilizes a sapele body, a selected hardwood neck, and includes the Martin E1 pickup system with volume, tone, and phase controls.

Both guitars utilize the Grand-Concert (OO) body shape with 20 frets, ebony fingerboards, and open nickel tuners. Bonamassa has already tested the models in studio and live settings.
