Martin Harizanov leaves GERB party

Martin Harizanov has announced his departure from the GERB political party and its structures. A prominent figure in the Vratsa region, Harizanov stated that his decision is not driven by conflict or disappointment.

In his public statement, Harizanov expressed gratitude to GERB leader Boyko Borisov for his trust and support over the years. He noted that he is leaving with respect for his colleagues and the work they accomplished together, particularly during difficult political periods when they built strong youth structures in Vratsa.

Harizanov indicated that he intends to focus his future efforts on new business ventures, ideas, and projects, noting that he never intended for politics to be his lifelong profession. His previous work included various social initiatives, road safety campaigns, and regional development projects, including discussions regarding the role of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant in the region.
