Martin Herlihy to depart ‘Saturday Night Live’
Comedian Martin Herlihy is departing ‘Saturday Night Live’ ahead of its 52nd season. Herlihy, a member of the comedy sketch trio Please Don’t Destroy, has been with the show for five seasons.
During his tenure, Herlihy appeared onscreen for four seasons and served as a writer during season 51. His departure follows the exit of cast member Chloe Fineman and comes amidst a period of significant cast turnover for the series. While Herlihy is leaving the show, the Please Don’t Destroy comedy trio is expected to continue.
Herlihy is the son of former SNL performer Tim Herlihy. He has recently pursued acting roles in various projects, including the Running Man remake and Happy Gilmore 2.
