Martin Hofmann stars in new Oneplay series ‘Věřitel’

The new six-part series ‘Věřitel’ (The Creditor) is being produced for Oneplay by Punk Film. Directed by Jan Pachl and written by Ondřej Gabriel and Tomáš Vávra, the drama explores themes of justice and revenge set against the backdrop of the 1980s and the turbulent post-revolutionary 1990s in the Czech Republic.

The story follows Robert Winter, played by Martin Hofmann, an emigrant who returns after fifteen years in Italy and France to settle scores with former associates. These individuals, who maintained influence through connections with police and politicians, are currently embezzling a large-scale residential housing project. Winter, a former member of the Foreign Legion, seeks to protect hundreds of potential homeowners while navigating the moral boundary between legitimate retribution and destructive vengeance.

The cast includes Kristina Svarinská as Anna Verbířová, Petr Lněnička, Tomáš Jeřábek, Přemysl Bureš, and Martin Dejdar.
