Martin Kaymer undergoes successful shoulder surgery

Professional golfer Martin Kaymer has successfully undergone shoulder surgery in Switzerland. The 41-year-old former world number one expressed relief on social media, stating he is now able to focus on his recovery and hopes to return to pain-free competition by the 2027 season.

Kaymer, a two-time major winner, has struggled with persistent injuries. He previously revealed that he had participated in several tournaments while relying heavily on painkillers to manage the discomfort.

Kaymer currently competes on the LIV Golf tour. The league's future remains uncertain following an insolvency filing in early September, triggered by the withdrawal of funding from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF).
