Martin Luther King Jr. Libraries Offer Local Programs in DC and Milwaukee

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, D.C., hosted a series of beginner conversational Spanish classes on July 26–27 across multiple neighborhood branches, including Bellevue, Georgetown, Cleveland Park, and others. Registration for many sessions closed, and the classes were scheduled in rooms ranging from small study spaces to larger meeting rooms.

In Milwaukee, the Martin Luther King Jr. Branch of the public library held a community meeting for the Harambee Neighborhood Improvement District on July 28, alongside other local events such as a garden club at Native Wellness Garden and a prenatal‑midwife outreach at Alice’s Garden Urban Farm. The library also featured a disaster‑recovery center for flood support in the county.
