Martin Satriano explains limited performance at Lyon
Uruguayan striker Martin Satriano has addressed his limited performance during his tenure at Olympique Lyonnais. Now playing for Getafe, the 25-year-old explained that his time in France was hindered by physical recovery issues following a serious cruciate ligament injury.
Satriano noted that he arrived at Lyon during the final days of the transfer window and was unable to reach 100% physical capacity. Despite recording only three goals and one assist in 19 appearances, he expressed gratitude toward the club and its supporters, describing Lyon as a “giant in France and Europe” and stating he enjoyed playing in their stadium.
His move to Getafe followed a January departure from Lyon. Satriano indicated that he has found better form in Spain, having previously been considered a highly promising talent before his stint at Lyon and Lens.
