Martin Sellner registers Institute for Remigration in Germany

Martin Sellner has officially registered the ‘Institute for Remigration’ in the commercial register in Saxony-Anhalt. Alongside this, a 50-page document outlines a vision for the region to become a ‘model state for remigration,’ drawing on programmatic approaches from the AfD government program.

The concept of remigration described in the paper extends beyond the deportation of individuals without legal residency. It targets people with legal residence, including students, workers, and families born in Germany. It also explicitly includes naturalized citizens and other German nationals with migration backgrounds. Because German citizens cannot be legally deported, the paper proposes methods such as ‘assimilation,’ political pressure against perceived parallel societies, and structural measures to encourage ‘self-deportation’ through push factors.

Analysts note that Sellner has utilized sophisticated media and communication strategies, often adopting tactics used by left-wing activists and environmental groups, such as high-impact visual stunts, to gain political attention and media coverage.
