The Football Association (FA) has charged Everton forward Martin Sherif with breaching betting rules. The 20-year-old striker is alleged to have placed 61 bets on football matches between 20 November 2024 and 12 February 2026.
According to an FA statement, the charges relate to Rule E1.2. Sherif has until Monday, 17 August, to respond to the allegations. The charge does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Sherif, who was born in Liberia, joined Everton’s youth system in 2019. During his recent career, he has had loan spells at Rotherham United and Port Vale in League One.
