Martin Zubimendi linked to Arsenal amid conflicting transfer reports

Reports regarding Arsenal's interest in Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi have generated conflicting accounts. While some UK outlets suggest the player has agreed to personal terms, journalists in Spain have denied that a deal is finalized, stating Zubimendi is still evaluating his options for the summer.

Discussions regarding a potential transfer involve a possible £51m buyout fee. There are reports that Arsenal may propose a staged payment structure, a move that could leave them at a disadvantage against competitors like Real Madrid or Liverpool, who might offer the full amount upfront. Additionally, Zubimendi recently sustained ankle and knee injuries during a match against Villarreal.
