Martina Franca Mayor requests security interventions following urban violence

Mayor Gianfranco Palmisano has formally contacted the Prefect and Questore of Taranto regarding recent incidents of violence and public disturbance in the historic center of Martina Franca.

In his correspondence, Palmisano requested an evaluation of punitive measures to protect residents and local businesses, noting that such episodes occur in broad daylight and impact the city's image and tourism. While expressing appreciation for the daily work of the Police, Carabinieri, and Guardia di Finanza, the Mayor emphasized that security remains a top priority to ensure these events remain isolated.
