Martina Pagoni disputes journalist Nikos Syrigos over medical ethics claims

Martina Pagoni has expressed her dissatisfaction regarding comments made by journalist Nikos Syrigos on the program ‘Chamohela kai Pali!’. The dispute stems from discussions involving physician Maria Karystianou and the legality of medical equipment in her pediatric practice.

During an appearance on ‘Koinonia Ora Mega’, Pagoni claimed that Syrigos attempted to trap her by suggesting she should apologize to Karystianou. Pagoni asserted that she did not target the physician and criticized Syrigos for making remarks after she had already finished her segment, rather than addressing them while she was present.

Pagoni, citing her 17 years of experience on a disciplinary council, emphasized her expertise in medical ethics codes and the specific requirements for medical equipment in clinical settings. She noted that official findings from the Central Health Council (KESY) regarding the equipment in question had not yet been finalized at the time the demand for an apology was made.
