Martina Voss-Tecklenburg appointed FC Zürich women's head coach

Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has been appointed as the new head coach of the FC Zürich women's football team. The 58-year-old former German national team coach has signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2028, though she is not scheduled to officially begin her duties until October 1, 2026.

Voss-Tecklenburg succeeds Renato Gligoroski, who was dismissed shortly before the start of the current season. She returns to Swiss football after previously coaching the Swiss women's national team from 2012 to 2018. Her career highlights include leading Germany to the Euro 2022 final as head coach of the DFB before her tenure ended in late 2023.

FC Zürich has seen a strong start to the current season, securing six points from their first two matches. During the interim period before Voss-Tecklenburg's arrival, technical director Alessandro Mangiarratti has been overseeing the team on the sidelines.
