Martine Grael departs Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team

Martine Grael, the first female driver in SailGP history, is departing the Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team before the end of the season. The two-time Olympic champion has decided not to compete in the final three planned races of the season.

The team announced that Paul Goodison will take over the helm of the F50 catamaran for the remaining events. Marina Arndt, who previously served as a reserve athlete, will move into the role of strategist.

The departure comes amid a difficult competitive period for the Brazilian team, which currently sits in last place with only eight points. The team described the change as a strategic move intended to ensure competitiveness during the final stages of the season.
