Martinengo to name three new streets after local religious figures
The municipal government of Martinengo has approved the naming of three new streets in the Riberto district, located near the Sacra Famiglia Institute. The decision, finalized by the local council, honors three religious figures who significantly impacted the city’s history, culture, and education.
The streets will be dedicated to Monsignor Luigi Pagnoni, Don Pietro Selogni, and Father Edoardo Rota. Monsignor Pagnoni was a priest and art historian who served as the first director of the Bergamo Diocesan Museum. Don Pietro Selogni served as a parish priest in Martinengo for over twenty years and was active in local musical and social initiatives. Father Edoardo Rota was also a prominent figure within the local community.
Mayor Pasquale Busetti noted that the Riberto district has seen significant urban growth and redevelopment, making the naming of these streets necessary as new residential buildings and villas are constructed in the area.
