Martinho da Vila and Mart'nália to perform in Salvador

Samba artists Martinho da Vila and Mart'nália are bringing their ‘Pai e Filha’ (Father and Daughter) tour to Salvador. The performance is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at the Concha Acústica of the Teatro Castro Alves.

The show is described as the final major tour of Martinho da Vila’s career, serving as a generational encounter between the veteran sambista, a central figure in the genre since the 1960s, and his daughter, who established her own career in the 1990s. The stage format will alternate between individual songs from each artist's repertoire and shared musical moments.

Tickets are available through the Sympla platform and at the Teatro Castro Alves box office. Due to ongoing renovations at the venue's own parking facility, attendees can utilize free parking at the nearby Ferreira Costa in the Barris neighborhood by presenting proof of parking upon exit.
