Martini Ziekenhuis to host meeting on bowel health awareness

Martini Ziekenhuis is organizing a free public meeting titled ‘The Big Message - What if it does not go naturally?’ on Saturday, October 3, in Eelderwolde. The event focuses on breaking the taboo surrounding bowel issues, such as constipation and fecal incontinence, which can significantly impact daily life and social participation.

Experts, including a gastrointestinal dietitian, a nurse specialist, and a (uro)gynaecologist, will discuss the causes and treatments for these conditions. The program also includes a personal account from an experienced patient. The meeting is co-organized by several healthcare entities, including Treant, Nij Smellinghe, FrisiusMC, Antonius Zorggroep, and Coloplast.
