Martino Giordano presents debut novel ‘Variazioni sul tema’

Author Martino Giordano will present his debut novel, ‘Variazioni sul tema’ (published by Solferino), on Tuesday, September 1, in Piazzetta Bagnasco. The event will feature a dialogue between Giordano and Bella Blandina, an actress and gender studies expert.

The novel explores two parallel stories set in contrasting urban environments. In Palermo, Lidia, a talented cellist, navigates the complexities of gender identity and the desire for transition while facing significant career milestones. Simultaneously, in Prague, Leo struggles with loneliness and defeat until a chance encounter with a drag queen named Selene. The narrative weaves these lives together across distance and time, exploring themes of identity, music, and human struggle.
