Residents in Martin, Slovakia, have reported the theft of flowers, wreaths, and candles from graves at the Jahodnica cemetery. Local citizens have shared their experiences on social media, noting that items such as bouquets, water containers, and even parts of plants have disappeared shortly after being placed on graves.

Some victims reported finding their stolen wreaths relocated to other graves, leading to suspicions that individuals may be taking decorations to avoid purchasing their own. While some residents have speculated that items might be stolen for resale, these claims remain unconfirmed. Residents in nearby Diviaky and Turčianske Teplice have also reported similar issues. Many locals are calling for increased patrols or the installation of security cameras to protect cemetery property, particularly during the period surrounding All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.
