Martinsicuro hosts eighth edition of cultural heritage festival

The eighth edition of “Cultura & Tradizione tra le sponde del Tronto” will take place from August 21 to 23, 2026, in Martinsicuro. The event is designed to highlight the shared cultural heritage, history, and gastronomy of the Abruzzo and Marche regions.

The program includes guided tours of Fermo and L’Aquila, which saw all available spots sell out within hours of reservations opening. The festivities will conclude on August 23 at the Torre Carlo V in Martinsicuro with free admission.

A central event on the final day will feature a discussion on the heritage of Abruzzese and Marchigiano folk music, led by ethnomusicologist Professor Carlo Di Silvestre and composer Professor Marco Pietrzela Cauti, accompanied by musical performances from the groups “La Firlinghina” and “I Trall”.
