Martinsicuro joins Fondazione CER Italia renewable energy community

The municipality of Martinsicuro has joined Fondazione CER Italia, a national Renewable Energy Community (CER) originally established in Montevarchi. This move is intended to support the local energy transition by promoting the production and sharing of renewable energy resources.

The initiative allows public entities, citizens, and businesses to collaborate on producing and consuming clean energy. This model aims to reduce CO2 emissions, improve energy efficiency, and allow participants to access incentives provided by national regulations.

Under this framework, consumers—primarily citizens and commercial activities—can participate without needing to install their own systems or make direct investments. By using energy produced by the community during peak production hours, they can benefit from specific premium tariffs.
