Martín Cicotello hospitalized after Unión La Calera defeat

Unión La Calera coach Martín Cicotello suffered a health emergency following his team's 2-1 defeat against O’Higgins in Rancagua. The Argentine manager experienced a physical collapse in the locker room after the match, which prevented him from attending the post-game press conference.

Cicotello, who has a history of cardiac issues and uses a pacemaker, had to be removed from the stadium and transported to a medical center. The incident occurred as Unión La Calera continues to struggle in its effort to avoid relegation in the Chilean Primera División.

During the match at El Teniente stadium, O’Higgins secured a lead with goals from Arnaldo Castillo and Luis Pavez. Although Sebastián “Sacha” Sáez scored for La Calera in the 59th minute to narrow the gap, the team was unable to secure a draw.
