Martín Vidaurre places fourth at UCI Mountain Bike World Championships

Chilean mountain biker Martín Vidaurre secured fourth place in the Elite Cross Country Olympic (XCO) event at the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy. Vidaurre finished with a time of 1 hour, 26 minutes, and 25 seconds, trailing the winner, Tom Pidcock, by 59 seconds.

Vidaurre remained a contender for the podium until the penultimate lap, when a rear tire puncture cost him valuable time. His performance marks the highest result for a Chilean representative at this championship and establishes him as the top South American finisher in the race.
