Martos Fair transport reinforcement sees 321% increase in trips

The special metropolitan transport reinforcement implemented for the Martos Fair has concluded with a total of 1,683 trips. This figure represents a 321% increase compared to an ordinary weekend, which recorded 399 trips during the same period the previous week.

Organized by the Ministry of Development and Mobility through the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Jaén Area, in collaboration with the company SAMAR, the service operated on August 21, 22, and 23. The initiative aimed to provide a sustainable and economical alternative for residents to attend the central days of the fair in Martos without using private vehicles.

Miguel Contreras, the territorial delegate for the Ministry, highlighted the increase in services and seats as a sign of the need to continue promoting safe and sustainable public transport for major regional events.
