Martos police arrest man wanted for three years

Local police in Martos, Spain, have arrested a 24-year-old man who had been the subject of a judicial warrant for arrest and imprisonment issued by the Criminal Section of the Court of Jaén for three years.

During routine security patrols, officers identified an individual matching the description of the wanted person. The suspect attempted to evade authorities by providing false identification and presenting unofficial, invalid documents related to past incidents from his youth.

Preliminary investigations suggest the man had been hiding in a local residence for the past three years, even altering his physical appearance to avoid detection. He was intercepted in a public area after a lapse in his efforts to remain hidden. Following verification by the Local Police and the Guardia Civil, the individual was taken into custody and placed at the disposal of the judiciary to fulfill the existing prison sentence.
