Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostiuk surged to third place in the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) after a 17‑match winning streak on clay and a semi‑final run at the French Open. Her UTR score reached 13.08, placing her ahead of Poland’s Iga Świątek, who fell in the fourth round to Kostiuk.

Świątek, the defending Wimbledon champion and world No. 3 on the WTA tour, reflected on her early exit at Roland Garros and said she is now concentrating on preparing for Wimbledon. She highlighted the need for gradual adaptation to grass, coping with increased media scrutiny, and focusing on long‑term development rather than single‑tournament results.
