Martyna Kubka reaches career‑high ranking with help from coach Piotr Woźniacki

Polish tennis player Martyna Kubka broke into the top 200 of the WTA rankings, moving to a career‑best No. 185 after winning the ITF World Tennis Tour event in Vitoria‑Gasteiz, Spain, which offered a $60,000 prize pool. The victory positions her to compete in the US Open qualifying tournament.

Kubka’s recent success is credited to the involvement of veteran coach Piotr Woźniacki, who joined her training team in July. Woźniacki is famed for guiding his daughter, former world No. 1 Karolina Woźniacka, to multiple titles, including the 2018 Australian Open. Partner and coach Piotr Pawlak praised Woźniacki on social media, calling the collaboration a “privilege” and expressing readiness for upcoming challenges in Warsaw and New York.
