Martyna Wiankowska joins Italian Serie A club Como 1907 Women

Polish international forward Martyna Wiankowska, a native of Łowicz, has signed with Como 1907 Women. The Italian side will make its debut in the women's Serie A in the 2026‑27 season, and the transfer is described as one of the most prominent moves of a Polish player this summer.

Wiankowska began her career in local clubs before progressing to UKS SMS Łódź and later to Czarni Sosnowiec, where she won the Polish championship and two Polish Cups. She later played in Germany for Turbine Potsdam and 1. FC Köln. Since 2015 she has been a regular for the senior Poland women’s national team, earning over 100 caps and featuring in Euro 2025 qualifiers, World Cup and European Championship qualifiers, the Nations League and the Algarve Cup.

Como’s management highlighted her technical ability, physical strength and versatility on the left side of the pitch. The signing is intended to strengthen the squad as it steps up to Italy’s top division, and Wiankowska expressed her determination to work hard and help the team succeed.
