On August 13, the liturgical cycle concludes with the 'Apodosis' (completion) of the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior. This marks the end of the celebratory period following the August 6 feast, which commemorates Jesus appearing in divine glory on Mount Tabor before Peter, James, and John.

Other figures commemorated during this period include Saint Eudokia the Queen, Saint Coronatus, and Saint Maximus the Confessor.
