Maru Botana to replace Donato de Santis on MasterChef Celebrity

MasterChef Celebrity Donato de Santis Maru Botana Telefe cooking competition

Chef Donato de Santis is stepping down from his role as a judge on MasterChef Celebrity after ten editions. He will be replaced by pastry chef Maru Botana for the upcoming season, which is scheduled to debut on Monday, September 28, at 22:15 on Telefe.

De Santis, who has been a staple of the program since its inception in 2020, explained that his decision was personal rather than due to conflict. He stated that he wishes to prioritize his health and spend more time with his family in Italy. In a public message to Botana, he reflected on their long-standing friendship that began 25 years ago.

The new judging panel will consist of Maru Botana, Germán Martitegui, and Damián Betular. Wanda Nara will continue to host the competition, which features 24 celebrity participants.
