Maru Campos visits Creel to support health and social programs

Chihuahua Governor Maru Campos visited the Regional Nutrition and Maternal Shelter Center (Cerenam) in Creel, Bocoyna, as part of her ‘Ruta Chihuahua’ initiative. During the visit, she distributed mobility aids, including wheelchairs, crutches, and canes, to individuals with disabilities.

The governor also participated in a training session for pregnant Rarámuri women focused on identifying pregnancy warning signs. Sandra Caraveo, director of the Children's Specialty Hospital, demonstrated the use of the MUAC tape, a tool adapted in Chihuahua to detect malnutrition risks in both infants and pregnant women.

Additionally, Campos reviewed the rehabilitation project for the ‘Pilares Rawalá’ Community Center. The project involves an investment of approximately 2 million pesos to improve facilities, including the construction of a multi-purpose hall, a kiosk, a court, and a recreational park.

In a separate regional development update, Governor Javier May Rodríguez of Tabasco reported that his administration has visited nearly 170 of the state's 205 Integration Centers. He emphasized a governance model focused on direct territorial presence and announced over 240 million pesos in public works for the La Perla de la Chontalpa region for 2026.
