Maruti Suzuki Fronx reaches 200,000 exports in record time

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that its Fronx SUV has surpassed 200,000 exports in less than 38 months. This achievement makes it the fastest SUV manufactured in India to reach this milestone. The vehicle reached its first 100,000 exports in under 25 months and completed the subsequent 100,000 in approximately 13 months.

Manufactured at the Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, the Fronx is currently exported to nearly 90 countries, including Japan. According to Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the Fronx has been a primary driver of the company’s export success and has been India’s top exported passenger vehicle since FY 24-25.

Maruti Suzuki remains India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter, maintaining this position for five consecutive years. The company currently exports 17 different models to nearly 120 countries and accounted for more than 55 percent of India’s passenger vehicle exports during the first quarter of FY 2026-27.
