Maruti Suzuki hits export and logistics milestones in India

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has reached several operational milestones regarding its manufacturing and logistics capabilities. The company reported that cumulative exports of India-made Jimny 5-door, Fronx, and e Vitara models to Japan have surpassed 100,000 units. Japan has become Maruti Suzuki’s second-largest export market, with Indian-manufactured vehicles accounting for nearly 100% of Suzuki’s imports into Japan during the 2025-26 financial year.

In addition to export growth, the automaker has achieved a logistics milestone by dispatching 1 million vehicles via its in-plant railway terminals since 2023. Utilizing sidings at its Hansalpur facility in Gujarat and Manesar facility in Haryana, the company is shifting toward rail-based transportation to improve environmental efficiency. Maruti Suzuki aims to increase its share of rail-based vehicle dispatches to 35% by the 2030-31 fiscal year.
