Maruti Suzuki rolls out XL7 facelift teaser in Indonesia and plans new hybrid models for India

Suzuki Indonesia released a teaser for the XL7 facelift, set to launch at the GIIAS show on 29 July 2026. The updated SUV will feature a new grille, LED headlights, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, HUD and a 360‑degree camera, while retaining its 1.5 L K15B naturally aspirated engine and transmission options. Because the XL7 shares its platform with India’s Maruti XL6, the changes could also appear on the Indian model later this year.

In parallel, Maruti Suzuki announced a five‑year plan to introduce five new models, emphasizing its own strong hybrid (HEV) powertrain. The upcoming Fronx hybrid, expected in 2027, will use a new series‑hybrid system with a three‑cylinder Z12E engine and aim for fuel economy above 35 kmpl. Similar hybrid setups are slated for the next‑generation Blez and other models. The company is also testing a Grand Vitara facelift with a 7‑seat variant, projected for launch by year‑end, and an Invicto MPV variant with a lower‑spec hybrid option for 2027.
