Maruyama Kyosai Group launches online kimono rental service

The Maruyama Kyosai Group, a kimono specialist celebrating its 55th anniversary, has launched a new online rental service called ‘Rental Kimono-ya-san’. The platform offers over 400 high-quality kimonos designed for significant life milestones, such as weddings, Shichi-Go-San, and graduation ceremonies.

Rental prices start from 21,780 yen (including tax). The service focuses on formal attire, including Kurotomesode, Irotomesode, Homongi, Tsutsugae, and Iromuji. To bridge the gap between online convenience and traditional expertise, customers can visit physical Maruyama Kyosai Group stores to inspect or try on items before renting. Additionally, the group provides a mobile dressing service where professional dressers visit homes, hotels, or venues to assist customers.
