Marval Clean Logistics and H2 Green Mining partner for green hydrogen transport in Chile

Marval Clean Logistics and H2 Green Mining have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop green hydrogen (H2V) powered trucks for the Chilean mining industry. The initiative aims to decarbonize the logistics chain by transporting copper concentrate, supplies, and products between mining sites in northern Chile and the ports of Mejillones and Antofagasta.

The project will initially focus on routes connecting Calama with the aforementioned ports. The collaboration includes defining technical specifications for the new hydrogen trucks, establishing fueling infrastructure requirements, and developing conceptual engineering to estimate necessary investments and operational costs. The goal is to create a commercially viable and efficient sustainable transport model for the national mining sector.
