Marvel Announces Avengers: Doomsday Multiverse Crossover Film

Marvel Studios confirmed that its Phase Six film Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release in 2026, will bring together heroes from the Avengers, Thunderbolts, X‑Men and Fantastic Four universes to confront an existential threat posed by Doctor Doom. The movie will feature returning MCU actors such as Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Paul Rudd (Ant‑Man), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier). New additions include the X‑Men ensemble—Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, James Marsden as Cyclops, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique and Channing Tatum as Gambit—and the Fantastic Four team led by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss‑Bachrach. Marvel also hinted that Wakanda will play a tactical role in the storyline. The crossover is now possible after Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, which previously held the X‑Men film rights, allowing the two franchises to share screen time for the first time.
