Marvel announces Avengers vs. X-Men winter special comic

Marvel has announced a new comic book special titled ‘Marvel Winter Break Special 2026 #1’, which will feature a confrontation between the Avengers and the X-Men. The extra-sized one-shot is scheduled for release in December 2026.

Set with a New Year’s Eve and winter theme, the story will depict the two superhero teams competing in a hockey game. The issue is expected to feature winter-themed outfits and a celebratory atmosphere. The creative team includes Ryan North, Christina Strain, Javier Garrón, and Pete Woods, with cover art by David Nakayama.
