Marvel Announces Avengers: Endgame Encore Re‑release and Avengers: Doomsday Details

Marvel Studios confirmed that the 2019 blockbuster *Avengers: Endgame* will return to theaters on 25 September 2026 under the title *Avengers: Endgame Encore*. The new cut adds a fresh introduction, several previously unseen bonus scenes and an extended ending that directly bridges to the forthcoming *Avengers: Doomsday*, making the film about seven minutes longer than the original. Co‑director Joe Russo said the re‑release is a “critical companion story” that creates a unique narrative link to the upcoming saga.

The studio also unveiled the full official synopsis for *Avengers: Doomsday*, slated for 18 December 2026. The description explains that three distinct Marvel universes will collide, forcing beloved heroes to face an unprecedented existential threat. The film will debut in the premium Infinity Vision format and features a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, the Fantastic Four, and other MCU and X‑Men characters. A sequel, *Avengers: Secret Wars*, is scheduled for 17 December 2027.
