Marvel announces Magneto: End of Days miniseries
Marvel Comics has announced ‘Magneto: End of Days’, a prestige eight-issue miniseries scheduled for release in February. Unveiled during the ‘Marvel Comics: House of Ideas’ panel at New York Comic Con, the project aims to provide a definitive look at the complex legacy of the X-Men character.
The series will feature a creative team including writer Brian Michael Bendis, artist Andrea Sorrentino, and colorist Dave Stewart. Rather than a linear narrative, the story will jump between different eras of Magneto’s life—spanning his past, present, and future—to reinterpret his history and the consequences of his decisions across the Marvel Universe.
Bendis, who has previously written the character in major storylines such as ‘House of M’, intends to use carefully selected independent chapters to explore Magneto’s evolution from villain to leader and survivor. Artist Andrea Sorrentino noted that the project offers an opportunity to experiment with page composition to better represent the character’s powers and personality.
