Marvel announces new Disney+ spy thriller ‘Zodiac’

Marvel Television has announced a new live-action espionage series for Disney+ titled ‘Zodiac’. Described as a dark British spy thriller, the project is expected to focus on international secrets, lies, and betrayals, drawing comparisons to gritty series such as ‘The Americans’.

Production is scheduled to begin in London in the spring of 2027, with a projected release window in 2028. Casting is expected to commence shortly, with reports indicating a search for three original British leads—two male and one female—who are not expected to have direct comic book counterparts.

In addition to the ‘Zodiac’ announcement, Marvel confirmed that the third season of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will be the final season and will feature the reunion of the Defenders. The announcement of ‘Zodiac’ comes as Marvel adopts a more controlled production cadence, focusing on fewer, more concentrated television projects.
