Marvel announces new Punisher comic series and special silent issue

Marvel Comics is launching new projects featuring the character Frank Castle, known as The Punisher. A new series of one-shot specials titled ‘Punisher Showdowns’ will pair the character with other Marvel figures. The first installment, ‘Punisher Showdowns: Black Widow #1’, is scheduled for release on October 21 and features a mission in Las Vegas involving a terrorist cell and a Wolf Spider operative.

Additionally, a special issue of the ongoing Punisher series, titled ‘Punisher #12’ or ‘White Out’, is set to arrive on December 23, 2026. Written by Benjamin Percy and illustrated by Declan Shalvey, this issue will be a silent, dialogue-free story set during a massive blizzard in New York City. To match the snowy setting, the issue will feature a new white tactical costume for Castle.
