Marvel announces Spider-Man comic miniseries to bridge Disney+ seasons

Marvel has announced a new four-issue comic book miniseries designed to bridge the gap between the first and second seasons of the Disney+ animated series, ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’. The series is scheduled to go on sale on December 9, 2026.

Writer Christos Gage and artist Eric Gapstur return for the project, which aims to maintain strict continuity with the show. The storyline will explore Peter Parker’s evolving relationships with his friends and introduce iconic supervillains. The plot involves mysterious occurrences at Oscorp involving Harry Osborn, even as Norman Osborn appears to be stepping away from the business.

The miniseries is intended to set the stage for the second season of the animated show, which is expected to launch in January 2027. The announcement included details regarding cover art by Leonardo Romero, Luciano Vecchio, and David Baldeón.
